| FALL CLASS SCHEDULE 2008 Easy Strip Runner Instructor - Barb Hoffman 1 class Class Date: Thursdays: September 11th Evening class from 6:00pm to 9:00pm This class will take you from the start to finish in 3 hours. I am excited to see the sample Barb is making out of snowman stripes. She plans also to show you how to embellish it. CLASS FEE - $20 and supplies. Shade Cascade - Instructor - Penny Callander a DAY RETREAT at the SHOP Class Date: Saturday - September 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a fun project used from 3 fabrics and 4 shades of one color. The kits are $39.95 each. There is no charge for the retreat other than your fabric. You are asked to bring some sort of a dish or snack to share. Coffee will be provided. Space is limited so sign up early if interested. Don't forget your quilting supplies. Slightly Crazy Princess Jacket - Instructor Barb Hoffman Class Date: Saturday - October 4th and Saturday October 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is a two part class that Barb will help you with the lay out, cutting, sewing and fitting of this jacket along with optional embellishment. Some homework required. Class fee is $30.00 plus pattern and fabric. Let's Do Lunch - Instructor - Penny Callander Class Date: Thursday, October 16th and Thursday, October 30th Afternoon class will be from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The evening class will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This is a new fun book from Terry Atkinson. I am letting you pick your project!! The line of fabric will be here in September if you should choose to use it. Class fee is $20.00 for both dates - plus book cost of $16.95 and fabric. Beginner's Long Arm Machine Quilting Instructor - Class Date: January 2009 - check back for exact time and date. In this class you will learn how to thread the machine, wind bobbins, load the top on using zippered leaders and have actual hands on experience learning how to free hand meander. Class fee is $40.00 Limited class size After certification class, you will be able to rent the long arm for $15.00 per hour. Zippered leaders will decrease the rental time of the long arm. Advanced Long Arm Instructor Non scheduled at this time You will be working on your own muslin to bring home for reference. Robin will show you how to do insets, borders and pantographs, plus answer questions that you may have on the long arm. Each student will be zipping their project on and off to work on. Class fee is $75.00 SPACE IS LIMITED See the samples at the shop. OPEN QUILTING I have chosen two Thursdays during the Fall November 6th and November 20th You can come in any time during the day and sew until 8:30 p.m. You must sign up in advance, if no one signs up, I will not stay for the evening. Let's get some of those projects that I hear about completed!! This might also be a great time to get some of your Christmas gifts completed. Please bring a dish of some sort or snack to pass. |
