Bits and Pieces at Gone To Pieces – August and September news
How is everyone doing? We are moving forward at the shop, trying out different mask styles for daily mask wearing. We do have hand sanitizing stations at the front entry into the shop and at the back door for your use upon entering the shop. We are jammed packed in here with limited floor space so we ask for your own protection to use your best judgment in social distancing when other customers are present.
During Quilt Minnesota (July 31st thru August 24th) the shop’s hours of operation are Monday thru Friday – 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday – 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday – noon to 5 pm. On August 24th, we will return to our normal hours before Covid – Monday thru Friday – 9 am to 5 pm , Saturday – 9 am to 3 pm and closed Sunday.
Machine Quilting – If you are planning on having us machine quilt something for the holidays, I can’t stress to you how important it is for you to plan in advance and get your name on the list. You all have kept us busy during this Covid shut down. With Quilt Minnesota starting, we are not sure how machine quilting will fit in, but please be warned there are currently 190 projects on the list in various sizes and shapes. Thank you for helping us survive in this pandemic!!
No coupon this month – Quilt Minnesota will not allow any shop to run a sale or discount other than the shop’s normal clearance section.
Quilt Minnesota starts this Friday, July 31st. We have all our samples up using quite a few of the fabrics this year. We have accepted pre-orders and we have all of the collection left but two bolts. The shop is part of the Central region this year. Shops are Dawn’s in Alexandria, Gruber’s in Waite Park, Sweetwater Cotton Shoppe in Paynesville, Paisley Threads in New London, DeAnn’s Country Village in Litchfield and Gone To Pieces in Kimball. Our incentive gift is a 1000 piece puzzle that DeAnn created; visit all six shops in our section and upon completion you shall receive one. Our dollar ditty with a $10 purchase this year is a 45mm rotary blade refill (regularly $9.59). Each shop in the section has chosen a different notion - limit one per customer. Quilt Minnesota is offering prizes for completing three sections as well as a drawing for a trip for two to Alaska if you visit all participating shops in the hop. It will be a big step moving forward with Covid regulations guiding us.
Gone To Pieces – 18th Anniversary – Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th. We will have separate drawings on both days for prizes totaling over $1000. Discounts will be 30% off regular price on fabric, pre-cuts, patterns, books and notions. Some exclusions apply (Quilt Minnesota fabric, machine quilting and thread. Fabric must be a one yard minimum cut.
